Ames 150: Ames Sesquicentennial Celebration

07/03/2014 - 07/05/2014
Various, Downtown Ames

The Ames 150th on the 4th of July will showcase that the Ames community has a progressive and inclusive community that embraces a variety of community activities for youth to seniors.  It will showcase the historic and revitalized Main Street District, and highlight the new LEED Library.  The variety of activities being planned for this two-and-a-half-day festival will show how Ames is a smart choice for not only working, but for playing.  It will also demonstrate Ames’ pride through its variety of venues from Reiman Gardens, with live music by the Ames Municipal Band, to the Main Stage activities and Chautauqua in our vibrant downtown.
